Camaraderie-mahiks, session june 2021.

Dear reader,

Welcome to this page. I'm glad that you landed here... hope that you enjoy the read!

To kick off, let me briefly explain what this post is all about.

I host a zoom call occasionally, where people interact with each other and showcase their work. It is an attempt to uplift and motivate people about their passion and, of course, make new friends. Everyone needs a break from the professional meets for promotions. So I wanted to build a place where people could speak their heart out, and get a complimentary promotion as a bonus. It's nothing very innovative to the world, I guess, but this is my initiative towards a friendly work environment.

The previous and the opening session of this concept was the Camaraderie@mahiks- session 7 November, 2020.

We held the recent meet of this series on (20:30 IST), Sunday, June 6, 2021. With warm magic hugs and gestures, I would like to thank all the kind souls for being a part of my call. So, let me just recapitulate the light-hearted discussion we all carried out at Camaraderie-mahiks, session june 2021.

This time, we had with us, Katie MoranVanesh MaliDanni ConnellyArnav Agarwal (Avu creations), Tisya Chaudhary (representing HNH organization), Shashank Singh and me, of course, hehe!

In beginning of the event, we weren’t very familiar with each other. So we introduced ourselves and our work... made ourselves comfortable. May I just say, people are so talented, fun, engaging, graceful... (and now I have lost track of all the awesome adjectives. But everyone is exceptional and outstanding!).

The most important thing we did was showcase our work in front of everyone! Danni with her outstanding achievements, Shashank Singh with his literature reading, Vanesh with the encouraging work of his company- TechnoVans, and Arnav i.e. Avu Creations with his phenomenal poetry piece and Tisya with her great efforts at HnH, and Katie had our special thumbs up for her respected work and goals with Summation52.

Danni Connelly is one of the sweetest people I have met through twitter. She is like my big sis now. Inspiring people all across, she is one of a kind gem to connect with... oh yeah, one more thing... I always wanted to specially highlight the beautiful Musical piece recreation by her and recognized this platform to reach out to people for it. I love the way she has made the video and the magic she holds. Special applause to her for blessing us with her talent. Do check out, I'm sure you won't regret.

Shashank Singh, our another addition to the program, shared a beautiful extract from a story and shared his personal experiences during the pandemic. His words were quite an insightful. Shashank is a teen writer and a booktuber (youtuber related to the book world).

My dear friend, Katie Moran was there amongst us with her fantastic accomplishments and work. Happy to have a heart like hers in our companionship. She uplifts other fellow poets, and she is a fantastic poetess herself.

Then comes Tisya Chaudhary. Hats off to her for creating a platform for people to develop a healthy state of mind. Her organization helps people to hug their problems away! However, it has recently been put on a halt because of her work schedule. But we hope she returns back better and sooner. Being a volunteer there, I really loved this concept and hope it grows and sustains.

An upvoting shout out for Vanesh Mali! His company showcases the inspiring stories of startups and promotes other motivational people. I would really appreciate if anyone reading could show their support to him in any way possible.

We had another great poet, Arnav Agarwal with us. His poems are as interesting as his talks. He is a young aspirant and has a deep connection with poetry. His words are finding a bigger audience through his contributions in collective-co authors' books. I hope we can witness more of his journey and his pen!

Let's move on to what we discussed and talked about for more than 2 hours! It was deeply interesting, not bragging... it's all true!

We talked about the current pandemic situation in our respective countries, and how it is affecting our lives. We are living in hard times, but it shall pass... I don't want to discuss it in detail because it brings an upside-down smile and trauma to faces.

We then moved on to discuss how different people are for making friends. Everyone has their own way, time period, and situation. Trust level and friendship vary from person to person.

We gave a break to ourselves from all the speaking, and played a game. Very simple yet tricky questions, and the one who answers first, wins! Here's the link to the quiz, feel free to use! Fun quiz. From that, I just wanted to highlight that learning is an ongoing process. We shared something, learned something, laughed at something, and just enjoyed something.

Our discussion then leaned towards the theme of being imperfectly perfect. We are not perfect, and we don't need to be. If one is happy being something, and if it's not hurting anyone, then please let the person be... We shared our weird parts of life, our strange habits, and possessions, which seem completely normal to us. We got really invested in the thoughts and I hope all had some great reminisces.

The talks and thoughts in our conversations were much more interesting in real. There was so much beauty in every word these people spoke, that I couldn't capture everything in this blog page. Yet, I tried to give a glimpse of what the event was like in real.

I hope we get a chance to interact again. It was an absolute pleasure to be a host of such amazing people. And it was an honor to have these people there. It was one of the best moments of my blogging life!

Concluding the note, I want to wish you all a happy day and a peaceful life. I hope to carry on another session sometime :)

Warm regards,

Mahika Bansal (aka Mahik's)

  1. It was an amazing opportunity to be a part of this event... I learned new stuff and enjoyed other people's talents... This would not have been a fabulous memory of mine without the wonderful people who participated... At the end, I would like to say that if you hadn't hosted this event, I bet it wouldn't be the same...

    Warm regards,
