लम्हें!

पहले आवाज सुनके खिल उठते थे

अब साथ में आंसू भी आ जाते हैं

जब-जब दूर हो जाने के ख्याल

मन में मेरे आते हैं

किसने सोचा था कभी

ऐसे भी दिन आएंगे

जब कई लम्हे निकलेंगे

पर हम ना मिल पाएंगे

बस कुछ ही पल है साथ

फिर मंजिले बदल जाएंगी

मेरी बातों को मेरी दोस्ती को

तेरी बड़ी याद आएगी

सपने पूरे करते-करते

हम अलग ही दुनिया में खो जायेंगे

पर सफर के बाद जब मिलेंगे ना

तो जादू की झप्पियाँ पाएंगे

कहां कोई पल ना होता था

जिसकी खबर हमें नहीं रहती थी

साथ में हों या अपने घर

पर दूरी कभी नहीं रहती थी

बचपन में एक दिन भी

हमें कम लगता था

और अब,

बस किताबों के अंदर बंद रहते हैं

समय ही मिलता है कब

जब बच्चे थे तब लगता था

बड़े कब होंगे यार

अब बड़े हो रहे हैं

तो डर लगता है हर साल

पहले तो कुछ काम था नहीं

बस यारी के ही गीत गाते थे

अब तो याद ही कर पाते हैं

कैसे यादें हम बनाते थे

वैसे तो दो-तीन साल हैं अभी

पर यह बस यूं ही निकल जाएंगे

डर लगता है सोचके

पता नहीं फिर कितनी बात कर पाएंगे

कहते हैं नए दोस्त बनाकर

लोग पुरानों को भूल जाते हैं

लेकिन हम नहीं

क्योंकि हम तो परिवार कहलाते हैं

वैसे तो अगर मैं चाहूं

तो बस ऐसे ही लिख लिखती रहूंगी

शब्द खत्म हो जाएंगे

लेकिन बातें खत्म नहीं होगी

तो अब एक ही दुआ मांगती हूं

बस नजर ना लगे यार

बढ़ती रहे यह दोस्ती

यह साथ ही यह प्यार

A life long bond! 

Earlier, I used to cheer up and smile

When I used to hear your voice,

now along with it tears also shed away

whenever I think of us moving out someday.

Who thought that there will be a time

when days will pass just like 

but we won't be able to meet anytime

soon, will never have those moments again in life

With just a few moments we are left

Our paths will diverge then

My stories will miss their guest 

And my bond will lack your presence 

While catching the dreams of our lives

We will be lost in a different world

But when we'll meet after the ride

We'll share our magic hugs

There were no days left by

When we didn't talk it all out

Whether near or far away we were

No gap was felt about 

In our nonage, even one whole day

Was never felt enough and now

We are trapped inside books anyways

We're never spare anyhow

When we were kids, we used to wait

For those days to get over and pass

To become teens, then adults

Now we fear the same thought, alas! 

Back then we had no work to do

But to sing our friendship songs

Now there's no time left

But to remember our memories lifelong

Well, two-three years are still in hand

But they'll vanish away too quick and

I get chills thinking of days when

We'll be unsure to talk like this even then

They say when people make new friends

They forget their pals, howdy old men

But we'll prove them wrong at utmost

Because we're kinda a family, sharing endless toasts 

Well, if I listen to my heart dear, 

Then I'll just keep writing like this always 

There ain't no words to explain our tier 

Our talks are just endless, an infinite paraphrase! 

Now I think I'll end this note right here, 

So that the evil eye stays elsewhere 

May our bond grow and bloom in the air

And we love even more, my only prayer
